Do you wanna showcase your artistic skills? Have a super cool piece of fan art you’re dying for people to see. Stop by the teen desk with your completed artwork and we can showcase it on the walls of the Teen Room!

Join us Tuesdays in May from 6PM-7PM for a chance to watch the latest and greatest in Japanese animation.This month we’ll be watching One Piece in honor of our March Manga Madness winner! Monkey D. Luffy sets off on an adventure with his pirate crew in hopes of finding the greatest treasure ever, known as the "One Piece." Snacks will be provided.

DIY Cat Toys

Patrons can get crafty using provided patterns to assemble their very own cat toys with All needed supplies will be provided! participants will be able to take what they make home with them, or they can choose to leave their creations to be donated to cats in need.

Share ideas for everything from programs to Teen Room decor. For this session we want to hear from you all on what you would like to see for the Teen Room for the Spring months. Pizza and soda will be served.

Learn to Play the Ukulele
Community Room

Want to try an instrument that is fun and easy to play? Join Julie Stepanek as she shows the fundamentals of ukulele playing. No experience necessary. Ukuleles provided.
Julie Stepanek lives in a forest in western Massachusetts where she raised a son and taught herself how to play the ukulele. She has been teaching and making music at libraries, senior centers and preschools throughout New England for the past twelve years.

National Drawing Day Gallery

Winners announced Friday, May 10th at 4:00

National Drawing Day is May 16th, and to celebrate, the NBPL would like to invite patrons to submit a drawing of your favorite book related character, place or object for a chance to win a prize! Winners will be picked on May 10th. Registration is required. Patrons may register and submit their drawings at the Reference, Teen or Children's desks. All ages are welcome to participate. Limit one drawing per patron, please.
